Welcome

This year is Amnesty's 50th anniversary. In those past 50 years we have celebrated many successes, not least winning the Nobel Peace Prize, the establishment of the International Criminal Court, the UN Arms Treaty, and many individual stories of liberty and justice after the most horrifying human rights abuses. However there is still much to do.

 We are ordinary people standing up for human rights. Amnesty's purpose is to protect individuals wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied. In Bath, our activism takes many forms - hosting public stalls and speaker events, working with schools and universities, collaborating with arts organisations and, of course, writing letters.
